Junior Electrician

-Plan for electrical wiring for well functioning lighting and other electrical system -Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and other equipment -Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit breaker panels etc) -Attend to breakdowns and maintain electrical equipment. -Fault find, diagnosis and repairs of electrical fault on control panels. - Inspection and testing of industrial electrical installations, motors and electrical systems. -General electrical installations lighting, switches, wall sockets and appliances -Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including ammeters, and test lamps. -Connect power cables to equipment, such as motors. -Fault finding and wiring of different motor starters (e.g. hoists, sequential starters, motor interlocking system, ac drives atc) -Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.

Junior Electrician

-Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. -Attend to breakdowns and maintain electrical equipment. -Fault find, diagnosis and repairs of electrical fault on control panels. - Inspection and testing of industrial electrical installations, motors and electrical systems. -General electrical installations lighting, switches, wall sockets and appliances -Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. -Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. -Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and to ensure compatibility and safety of system. -Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes. -Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including ammeters, and test lamps. -Connect power cables to equipment, such as motors. -Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment. -Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. -Work from ladders, scaffolds to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. -Fault finding and wiring of different motor starters (e.g. hoists, sequential starters, motor interlocking systems, ac drives atc). -Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services. -Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights and generators and driving needed vehicles.
